Most Deaths in Road Accidents Happen for This Reason

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that most deaths in road accidents involve two-wheeler riders. The highest mortality rate is among those riding without helmets. Yogi said that around 20,000 to 25,000 lives are lost every year solely due to road accidents. The letter mentioned that most deaths in road accidents occur because helmetless riders fall from their vehicles during accidents and sustain head injuries. Singh Emphasizes Running Awareness Campaigns

State Transport Commissioner Narayan Singh stated that this initiative was trialed in 2019 in the Gautam Buddha Nagar district, but now the new proposal will be effectively implemented across all 75 districts of the state. Singh further said that for this policy to be effective, all fuel station operators must be knowledgeable about motor vehicle regulations. Singh urged the effective implementation of the policy and suggested that all fuel station operators should raise awareness about deaths caused by road accidents.
