Design and look
The new Sumo design will still maintain its classic boxy look, keeping the old Sumo’s charm intact. The front of the vehicle will feature a new grille with LED headlights and Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), while the rear will have a newly designed tailgate with LED taillights. The side profile will have large wheel arches and alloy wheels that will give it a bold and strong appearance.

Inside, the cabin of the new Sumo will be much more comfortable and user-friendly, with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. The seating will offer both 7-seater and 9-seater options. Additional features will include a digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, roof-mounted AC vents, and wireless charging.

Engine and performance
The new Tata Sumo will come with three engine options: a 2.0-liter Cryotech diesel engine with 170 BHP and 350 Nm of torque, a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine with 160 BHP and 250 Nm of torque, and a CNG option for better fuel economy. Safety features will include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, hill hold assist, a 360-degree camera, and a tire pressure monitoring system. The price of the new Tata Sumo 2025 is expected to range from ₹4.59 lakh to ₹8 lakh, making it a strong competitor to other giants like Mahindra and Toyota. The official launch is expected to happen by March 2025.
