Home Minister Amit Shah Launches BharatPol Portal to Transform International Crime Investigation

New Delhi, January 7, 2025: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the BHARATPOL Portal at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Developed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), this portal is designed to empower Indian law enforcement agencies (LEAs) by enabling real-time information sharing and swift action against international crimes.

The portal aims to streamline communication between Indian agencies and INTERPOL, facilitating the issuance of Red Notices and other color-coded INTERPOL notices. It aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a robust and modern law enforcement system.

During the event, Amit Shah honored 35 CBI officers with the President’s Police Medal and the Home Minister’s Medal for their distinguished service and excellence in investigation. Senior officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of External Affairs, DoPT, Central Vigilance Commission, and other central police organizations were also present.
